Robot Engineer (ROS 2 · Robot Arm Control · Hardware Integration)
[Position Introduction]
Cinetic Motion develops camera motion control systems that precisely reproduce motion for video recording by mounting cameras on collaborative robots.
This position is responsible for the development and operation of a ROS 2-based motion server that integrates collaborative robots, lens control equipment (FIZ), joysticks, and web interfaces into one.
The core functions have been implemented and are in the stabilization and field verification phases, and the next task is real-time trajectory correction based on subject tracking.
We are looking for an engineer who can take over the system based on the organized design documents and ensure it operates stably on actual filming sites.
[Main Duties]
* Design, development, and maintenance of ROS 2-based robot control software (Python, C++)
Improvements to motion planning and robot control pipelines based on MoveIt 2 and ros2_control
* Robot Kinematics (FK/IK), Coordinate Transformation, Robot State Management
* Generation and execution of robot trajectories based on shooting scenarios (considering range of motion, joint limitations, and collision avoidance)
* Integration of driver and control interfaces for various collaborative robot platforms, addition of new platforms
* Development of drivers for recording equipment (cameras, FIZ, etc.) and peripherals (serial, GPIO, encoders, etc.)
* Support for embedded board-based container deployment and field operations
* Design of robot control API and interface integration with the web frontend
* Practical hardware integration testing, safety verification, and release
* Development of real-time camera trajectory correction function based on subject tracking (future)
[Eligibility Requirements]
At least 3 years of experience in robot software development or equivalent development capabilities
Practical experience in ROS 2-based robot system development
Experience controlling a real robot arm with MoveIt 2 or ros2_control
* Understanding Robot Kinematics: FK/IK, Jacobian, Singularity, Coordinate Transformation, Joint Space / Cartesian Space
Understanding and development experience in motion planning and robot trajectory execution
Experience in direct hardware control of motors, actuators, etc. (feedback control such as PID)
Experience in developing equipment communication technologies such as Serial (UART, RS-485), CAN, and TCP/IP
* Capabilities in writing and testing production code based on C++ and Python
Linux environment development and debugging, experience using Docker
* Git-based collaboration experience
Experience in development and verification using actual robots, and a safety mindset of conservative testing.
[Benefits]
Experience in practical operation of industrial or collaborative robots and development of control systems
Experience analyzing and modifying robot manufacturer SDKs or open-source robot drivers
Experience developing motion planning algorithms such as OMPL, collision detection, and path optimization
Control theory and linear algebra-based control techniques (inverse kinematics optimization, visual servo, etc.)

* Experience using robot simulation environments such as Gazebo
Experience with web backends and WebSocket integration
Experience in middleware communication quality of service (QoS) tuning and real-time analysis
CI implementation experience
Experience controlling shooting equipment such as cameras, gimbals, and FIZ, understanding of the video shooting domain
