[Job Seeker] H-2 Visa (Special Employment Permit System) Employment Training Application

What is the Special Employment Permit System?

A system that allows employers of businesses or workplaces, as determined by the Foreign Workforce Policy Committee in consideration of the characteristics of each industry, to hire foreign nationals who have entered the country with a visa for visiting work (H-2).

✔ If a foreign national with special employment privileges (foreign nationals of Korean descent, H-2) seeks employment in a business or workplace that falls under an allowed industry such as the service industry, he or she must receive employment training necessary for employment activities from a foreign employment training institution (Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Industry) prior to applying for a job.

※ The employment training hours for foreigners with special employment privileges (foreign nationals, H-2) are not provided under an employment-dependent relationship with the employer.
This is not labor provision under the Labor Standards Act.

※ For information on online job training, please be sure to read the “Online Job Training System Guide” in the notice.
