Guide to Issuing Withholding Tax Receipts for Foreign Workers

Foreign workers may also need to submit income tax withholding receipts to receive various benefits such as tax refunds, welfare support, loan applications, and visa extensions .

However, the process of preparing this document may feel unfamiliar and complicated .
So, I will guide you in the easiest way to meet the latest standards for 2025. 😊



🔎 Verification procedure guide

1. Access Hometax
👉 After accessing the Hometax website, ① click the login button . Hometax login >




2. Select login authentication
👉 ① Select simple authentication, joint authentication certificate, etc.
※ If you are having trouble with the authentication method, please refer to the simple authentication registration method first.




3. After logging in, ① select the ‘My Home Tax’ menu.



4. Check income and year-end tax settlement details
👉 ① Select [Income/Year-end Settlement] > ② [Payment Statement/Withholding Tax Receipt Details]
→ Select one of the most recent years, then click ③ [View]



5. Check the payment statement

The contents of the employment income payment statement are displayed.

Here, you can click the ① Print button to print or save it as a PDF.




** You can also check here whether you are eligible for a tax refund correction claim provided by JOBPLOY.


Go to page 2, ② Check the amount for item (52) [Article 30 of the Special Tax Exceptions and Restrictions Act]

  • If this amount is “0” , you are eligible for a refund for that year.
  • If you have “0” for any one year out of the last 5 years, you are eligible to apply!
