Narrative Writer(Interactive Story Game)

Are you a master of slow-burn romance, intricate worldbuilding, and captivating character dynamics? We are seeking a creative and dedicated Full-Time Narrative Writer to join our team for an upcoming BL (Boys' Love) interactive story game tailored for the US market.

As our lead storyteller, you will craft a vivid universe and breathe life into characters that players will fall in love with. We are looking for someone who understands the nuances of the genre and can deliver high-quality, emotionally resonant scripts.

[Key Responsibilities]

• Worldbuilding & Lore Design: Conceptualize the game’s universe, including its history, geography, cultural nuances, and specific factions or supernatural races
• Character Architecture: Create in-depth character profiles (leads and supporting cast), encompassing their visual descriptions, distinct personalities, speech patterns, and complex backstories
• Scenario & Script-writing: Develop the overarching plot (main/sub-stories) and write detailed, dialogue-heavy scripts for each episode
• Branching Narrative Design: Map out player choices and design complex branching paths that lead to multiple, impactful endings

[Requirements (Must-Haves)]

• Native-level fluency in US English: Must have a native-level command of US English, with the ability to write natural, trendy, and culturally relevant dialogue for an American audience
• Genre Literacy: Deep understanding of BL, Visual Novels, and Romance Fantasy tropes. You must be well-versed in the "language" of the subculture and what the target audience craves
• Narrative Structure & Pacing: Proven ability to construct coherent, well-paced narratives with clear inciting incidents, climax, and resolution
• Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills to work seamlessly with Art Directors, Developers, and Producers to align the story with technical and visual constraints

[Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)]

• Serialization Experience: Experience in publishing paid content on platforms like Webtoon, Tapas, Wattpad, or Kindle Vella
• Live-Service Game Experience: Experience writing for games that require regular content updates or seasonal story arcs
• Data Management Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to manage large volumes of dialogue data and branching logic

• Fandom Expertise: A true enthusiast with a deep passion for and analytical insight into female-oriented games (Otome, BL, etc.) and global subculture trends
