We are hiring a General Manager for The Magpie Hotel at Jongno YMCA.

What you’ll do
    •    Manage reservations & hotel systems: run our PMS (Property Management System) and CMS (Channel Management System) — handling room reservations, rates, inventory, and OTA/booking channels accurately and on time.
    •    Oversee room readiness: coordinate daily with our Head Housekeeper to confirm rooms are cleaned, turned, and held to our standard. A dedicated housekeeping management app makes this smooth and easy to track — you won’t be cleaning rooms yourself.
    •    Support the General Manager: act as the right hand to our Director, assisting across day-to-day operations and helping decisions get made and executed.
    •    Run the floor: keep overall hotel operations on track, troubleshoot issues, and help the whole team deliver a warm, seamless stay.
Our team
You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team: a General Manager, a lounge café bartender, four housekeeping members, and two café service part-timers — all working together to make The Magpie feel like home.
Who we’re looking for
    •    Someone who takes genuine ownership and treats The Magpie as their own.
    •    Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure — comfortable juggling systems, people, and details at once.
    •    A warm communicator who builds trust with the team and leads with a smile.
    •    Experience in hotel or hospitality operations, ideally hands-on with PMS and CMS platforms.
Requirements
    •    Fluent English is required. Korean ability is a strong plus.
    •    Valid authorization to work in Korea is required (work visa holders especially encouraged to apply).
    •    Hotel/hospitality experience preferred — relevant experience is valued and rewarded.
Details
    •    Type: Full-time
    •    Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    •    Weekend availability required: weekend shifts rotate across the team, so you should be comfortable being scheduled on any given weekend.
    •    Compensation: ₩3,000,000 – ₩4,000,000 per month (gross, before tax), depending on experience — with performance-based adjustments and bonuses. Strong work is recognized and rewarded.
    •    Location: 8th floor, Jongno YMCA Building, 69 Jong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul (서울시 종로구 종로 69)
