**Play-Based English Tutor for Young Children (Home Visits)**
**Little English Garden (LEG) – Jamsil, Seoul**
We’re looking for friendly, energetic native English speakers who enjoy playing, storytelling, and connecting with young children.
Little English Garden is a play-based English center in Jamsil that creates natural, fun English environments for kids (mainly under 8 years old). Instead of traditional textbook-style classes, our sessions focus on picture books, games, hands-on activities, movement, and real interaction so children experience English as play rather than study.
We need tutors who can conduct **in-home English activity classes** at families’ homes.
### What You’ll Do
- Lead 50-minute English activity sessions for children under 8
- Read English picture books and lead storytelling
- Create an engaging, English-rich atmosphere using games, teaching materials, and hands-on activities
- Actively interact with kids and keep the mood fun and positive
- Travel to clients’ homes for one-on-one or small sessions
### Location & Travel
- Most classes are in **Seoul and nearby Seoul areas**
- Occasional travel to **Bundang (Gyeonggi-do)** may be required depending on demand
- Distance allowance is calculated from our **center in Jamsil** (based on Naver Map travel time)
- Transportation costs are paid **separately** on top of the class fee and distance allowance
### Schedule
- Flexible part-time work
- Classes are typically scheduled during daytime/afternoon hours (center operating hours roughly 09:30–18:30)
- You can choose available days/times according to your schedule (consistent weekly classes once matched are preferred)
### Compensation
- **Pay is per 50-minute class**, not hourly (even though some platforms list it as hourly)
- Base rate: **13,000 KRW per class** (negotiable depending on experience and performance)
- **Distance allowance** (based on Naver Map from the Jamsil center):
- 30 minutes or more: **+25%** of the base class fee
- 1 hour or more: **+50%** of the base class fee
- Transportation costs paid separately
- Sincere, reliable, and hardworking tutors may receive additional advantages / higher rates over time
### Requirements
- Native English speaker
- Currently residing in Korea with an eligible visa (**H-1 or F-series only** — F-2, F-4, F-1/F-3, F-5, F-6, H-1)
- **No visa sponsorship** available
- Able to work with and enjoy interacting with young children (under 8)
- Positive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and energetic teaching style
- Able to commit to working **long-term** and responsibly
- Comfortable traveling to clients’ homes in Seoul and nearby areas
### Preferred
- Prior experience working with young children (English teaching, early childhood education, babysitting, etc.)
- Experience with picture books, storytelling, or play-based learning
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the covered areas
