We are recruiting participants for the 'Work-Study Parallel' program, which provides government-funded tuition to alleviate labor shortages in the industrial sector and help outstanding international students settle in the country.

This announcement is for graduating international students holding a D-10 visa currently residing in Korea; overseas residents are not eligible to apply.



01. Project Overview

This is a government-led program that selects international students and provides one-stop support, including matching them with excellent companies, job training, and E-7 visa issuance.

  • Organized by: Government ministries and educational institutions
  • Purpose: Enhancement of international students' professional capabilities and support for E-7-1 visa conversion



02. Target Applicants

  • Visa Status: D-10 (Job Seeking Visa) holder, international student residing in Korea
  • Educational Requirements: Graduates of universities (Bachelor's) and junior colleges (Associate's) in Korea
  • Language Proficiency: TOPIK Level 4 or higher (Preference given to high-achieving candidates)
  • Objective: Those who wish to work and settle in Korea under the E-7-1 skilled worker visa.




03. Program Detailed Course

This program combines university education (6 months) and a corporate internship (6 months).
Training Period: May 2026 – May 2027
College Class: Every Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00
Corporate Training: Enrollment in Industrial Accident Insurance and Health Insurance (conducted as a trainee)

  1. STEP 1: Job Training and Korean Language Education (6 months)
    • Linked to the university curriculum, once a week offline class (total 253 hours)
    • Adaptation to Korea Training: Korean Language Education, Corporate Culture, Etiquette, Labor Standards and Industrial Safety
    • Specialized Technical Training: Mechanical Design (2D drawing work, 3D shape modeling and review, use of basic measuring instruments)
  2. STEP 2: Corporate Training and Internship (6 months)
    • Work an internship at a company eligible for E-7-1 issuance while on a D-10 visa.
    • On-the-job training: 2D drawing management, drawing analysis
    • Working up to 40 hours per week / Paying at least the minimum wage per hour
  3. STEP 3: Conversion to Permanent Status and E-7 Visa Issuance
    • Early application available: You can apply for an E-7 visa immediately upon hiring confirmation, starting from the fourth month of the training period.

This program targets the issuance of visas for the following two professional occupations.

06. 2025 Operational Performance (Success Story)

As of 2025, final E-7-1 visas have been issued to 12 out of a total of 18 selected candidates!

This is a practical program that leads to actual employment and visa changes, rather than just simple education.
